Abstract

This article explores the role of higher education and research in promoting national development and human capital formation. The author argues that universities are not only centers of knowledge but also engines for innovation, skilled workforce development, and social progress. Emphasis is given to the importance of quality assurance, research funding, policy support, and collaboration between public and private institutions to ensure that higher education effectively contributes to sustainable and inclusive development.
