dc.description.abstractAutomated car parking (ACP) systems represent a significant advancement in urban transportation, designed to optimize parking efficiency, reduce human intervention and address the growing demand for parking spaces in crowded cities. These systems utilize a combination of Arduino, sensors, robotics to enable vehicles to park autonomously without driver input. The primary objective of ACP systems is to maximize space utilization, decrease traffic congestion and enhance convenience for users. There are two main types of automated parking systems: Automated Valet Parking (AVP), where the driver drops off the vehicle and automated parking garages, where robotic systems park and retrieve vehicles within multi-story structures. While ACP systems offer numerous benefits such as increased parking capacity, reduced search time for parking spots and enhanced safety, they also present challenges such as high installation costs, integration with existing infrastructure, and accessibility issues. This abstract outlines the key features, benefits, and challenges of automated car parking, and highlights its potential to transform urban parking solutions through technological innovation.
