Analyzing the Deposits Collection Procedure and its Performance, A Study on Social Islami Bank Tongi Branch

Abstract

This report presents the findings from a ninety-day internship program at Social Islami Bank (SIBL), focusing on the deposit collection procedure and its performance at the Tongi Branch. Financial institutions, particularly banks, play a critical role in a country's economy by facilitating the flow of funds from depositors to investors. They also support international trade, money transfers, and payment collections. The report consolidates practical experiences and insights gained during the internship, emphasizing the importance of effective deposit collection for sustainable banking operations and economic development. SIBL, as a private commercial bank in Bangladesh, significantly contributes to the financial sector by prioritizing safety, liquidity, and profitability in its lending practices. The report is organized into five chapters to enhance readability and understanding, covering the analysis of deposit collection procedures and performance metrics essential for the bank's role in national economic growth
