The author argues that excessive procedural rigidity, weak accountability, and administrative delays often hinder effective policy implementation and private sector growth. The article highlights how bureaucratic inefficiency affects investment, service delivery, and poverty reduction efforts. It emphasizes the need for administrative reform, transparency, decentralization, and performance-based governance to accelerate sustainable economic development in South Asia.
