Accounting Systems of Jinnat Knitwears Limited

Abstract

This report is based on the internship program undertaken at Jinnat Knitwears Ltd. (DBL Group), a growing textile company in Bangladesh. The report provides an overview of the accounts department of the organization, with a particular focus on the performance analysis and accounting activities. The internship experience allowed the author to observe and gain insights into how the company maintains its accounting activities, evaluates assets and liabilities, measures depreciation, and assesses revenue and expenditure. Additionally, the report includes a discussion on the financial reports and supporting documents used by the organization. The report is divided into six chapters: Chapter One covers the introduction, background, objectives, and limitations; Chapter Two provides an organizational profile of Jinnat Knitwears Ltd.; Chapter Three outlines the job profiles; Chapter Four discusses the activities undertaken by the accounts department; and Chapters Five and Six offer recommendations and conclusions. The internship experience at Jinnat Knitwears Ltd. was a valuable practical learning opportunity that enhanced the understanding of accounting practices in a developing company.
