Abstract
The" GSM Based Door Security System" is an innovative solution designed to enhance access control and security for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. This project integrates modern GSM communication technology with a microcontroller-based system to provide efficient and remote management of door access. The system employs an Arduino Nano as the central processing unit, paired with a SIM800L GSM module for communication. An IR sensor detects the presence of individuals near the door, triggering the system to initiate an authentication process. System status, prompts, and alerts are displayed on a 16x2 Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), providing an intuitive interface for users. In case of unauthorized access or a security breach, the GSM module sends real-time alerts to a predefined phone number via SMS. A Li-Ion battery with a booster module and a charging circuit ensures uninterrupted power supply, while a 5-volt adapter provides external power for consistent operation. This integration of hardware components ensures reliability and efficiency in various scenarios. The “GSM-Based Door Security System” offers several advantages, including enhanced security, real-time monitoring, and remote control capabilities, making it suitable for diverse environments. The project demonstrates the potential of combining GSM technology with microcontroller-based systems to develop cost-effective and scalable security solutions.
