Prof. Dr. M. Azizur Rahman discusses human rights as "basic rights and freedom that all people are entitled to regardless of nationality, sex, national or ethnic origin, race, religion, language, or other status". Drawing from the United Nations Charter and the US Declaration of Independence, the author posits that human beings are born free and equal in dignity. The article emphasizes that effective international cooperation is essential to solve economic, social, and cultural problems that hinder these freedoms. Rahman argues that social properties and advantages should be equitably distributed to ensure a "growing expectation" of a better life for all citizens, asserting that human rights are products of natural law and must be protected by functioning social mechanisms.
