Abstract

The main objectives of the study were to understand the structure and functions of the Accounts and Finance Department of First Security Islami Bank Ltd. (FSIBL), to explore the bank’s accounting activities, to examine its investment policies, and to analyze its overall financial operations. To achieve these objectives, both primary and secondary data were collected. Primary data were gathered through direct interviews and face-to-face conversations with employees of the bank, while secondary data were sourced from FSIBL’s official website, the FSIBL Bluebook, its prospectus, and related research papers and books. The collected data were then organized and analyzed using Microsoft Excel. Through the analysis, several issues were identified, including lengthy investment procedures, weak investment schemes, underperformance in the accounting department, and a shortage of employees. Based on these findings, the report provides a set of recommendations aimed at improving the bank’s investment processes, enhancing departmental performance, and addressing staffing challenges.
