Abstract

This article ''The Constant Trio: women, poverty and discrimination'' by M. Azizur Rahman delves into the interconnectedness of women, poverty, and discrimination, particularly in the context of developing countries such as Bangladesh. The author argues that despite women comprising half of the global population and contributing equally to society, they are disproportionately affected by poverty due to systemic discrimination and lack of opportunities. Women often lack access to education, employment, financial resources, and property rights, and are excluded from decision-making roles. In many cases, cultural, religious, and social norms further restrict their participation in economic and public life.
