An Evaluation of Financial Performance of Private Commercial Bank

Abstract

The banking sector plays a critical role in the economic health of a nation, acting as the main driver for the mobilization of savings and the facilitation of investments. This study aims to evaluate the financial performance of private commercial banks in Bangladesh, focusing on key financial indicators such as asset size, operational efficiency, return on assets (ROA), and interest income. The research explores the relationship between these factors and their impact on the banks' overall financial performance. Financial analysis techniques, including the calculation of financial ratios and the assessment of asset utilization, are used to examine performance differences among private commercial banks in Bangladesh. This study highlights the contribution of private banks to entrepreneurship development and provides insights for future financial strategies and improvements.
