Bangladesh has considerable potential for industrial development because of its large workforce, expanding domestic market, strategic location, growing manufacturing base, and increasing integration with global value chains. However, realizing this potential will require diversification, technological upgrading, infrastructure development, and a more favorable investment environment. The industrial prospects of Bangladesh are substantial but dependent on structural transformation. The country needs to move from excessive dependence on low-cost, labor-intensive manufacturing toward diversified, technology-driven, skill-intensive, and value-added industries. Greater investment in human capital, infrastructure, innovation, FDI, and export diversification can enable Bangladesh to strengthen its position in global value chains and generate sustainable employment and economic growth
