Abstract
Uttara University's Centre for Research and Training (CRT) held its annual project proposal
defence on 22–23 April at the permanent campus conference room, spotlighting research
innovation and academic rigour.
The event, titled 'Showcasing Research Excellence: CRT Proposal Defence 2026', was
inaugurated by Professor Dr ASM Shahabuddin, director, Institutional Quality Assurance Cell
(IQAC).
In his remarks, Dr Shahabuddin underscored the need to uphold rigorous research standards to
foster academic integrity and drive innovation.
CRT director Professor Dr Md Sultanul Islam, associate director Dr Saleh Ahmad, executive
members Dr Nilufer Yesmin Tanisa and Dr Kazi Sirajul Islam, and Jabed Hossen Emon were
present at the inaugural session.
Fifty-five research scholars presented 40 project proposals on advanced topics across science,
engineering, social sciences and humanities.
The platform enabled participants to articulate research objectives, methodologies and
anticipated contributions to their fields.
